Meet the Committee
The aim of this project is to put in place a free regular foot health/podiatry service for those most in need and least likely to have the means to access it. This targets the homeless population, but also includes the socially isolated and vulnerable populations; It is set up in locations where it can be easily accessed by these people.
Forgotten Feet, set up in 2013, in Worcester, by podiatrist Deborah Monk is a rapidly expanding nationwide charity extending across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and into Scotland. There are many towns covered by Forgotten Feet Clinics, run by Podiatrists and Foot health Practitioners.
Our vision is to set up clinics in as many towns as possible, where a need is identified, creating a network of free foot care for the poorest in society throughout the UK. By setting up clinics in homeless or drop in centres, we find service users are far more likely to use the service rather than if they had to travel elsewhere.
We take a friendly less formal approach, and although primarily set up to alleviate painful foot conditions amongst the homeless, we have an open door policy and encourage as many service users as possible to take up the service. Forgotten Feet became a registered charity in 2018 and is run by a team of eight, committee members and trustees.

Debi Monk
Chair/Founder.
Debi founded Forgotten Feet in 2013. She graduated from Aston University in 2009 and has worked in private practice since. This experience highlighted the significant societal disparity in access to foot health care, leading to the creation of the charity. Forgotten Feet has continued to grow from strength to strength and has received recognition from RCpod, including the ‘Alf Morris’ Award for Services in the Community and the ‘President’s Medal’ from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Outside of podiatry, Debi spends her time with her horses and llamas.

Lydia Foster
Secretary & Vice Chair.
Lydia, Debi’s daughter, joined Forgotten Feet in 2015 as a Foot Health Practitioner and actively helped in the running of several clinics. Due to medical reasons, she now focuses on administrative tasks, remaining a committed team member. Lydia has also developed an interest in dermatology and hopes to pursue further education in the field.

Belinda Longhurst
Volunteer Coordinator.
Belinda is a Podiatry lecturer for several Universities in the UK and overseas. Her special interest is in Podiatric Dermatology, and she is keen to promote the upskilling of Foot Health Practitioners and Podiatrists in lesion recognition skills to strengthen the profession of podiatry and improve patient outcomes.

Sarah Greenaway
Volunteer Coordinator.
Sarah is a SMAE FHP and became a Trustee in 2021 and her role is to look after our volunteers. From the initial match-up between volunteer and service to the occasional house call, she loves seeing our volunteers in action and visiting services around the country.

Larry Moore
Treasurer.
A relative newcomer to the profession as well as the charity, Larry is a domiciliary FHP based in Maidenhead. A wide and diverse skill set including accountancy and public speaking have been put to good use for FF. Aims are to strengthen FF’s reporting systems and increase fund raising.
